I got a rather bizarre review today for Chapter 11 of A Twisted Kind of Brotherhood. I would have posted this in the forums, but this reviewer seems to lurk there:
"I just found this story recently, through the 'Must List' topic in the
Flight 1019 forum. Have to say, I'm loving it so far! The sex scene
with Leon and Jonathan was HOTT.
The funeral scene was awesome, too. Loved Jonathan's daydream or
whatever it was. I have a question, though: do you really think Jonathan
and Jackson are Christian? I mean, it's no big deal if they are, I just
think they're a little too smart to believe in an old man in the sky,
I'll review again when I read more. Keep up the good work!"
...I'm glad she liked it and all, but still. Jonathan and Jackson were never supposed to be religious in the story; I just put a funeral scene in the church because a) I figured there was no reason their relatives didn't have some kind of religion, and b) it's a funeral, for crying out loud. A church is a perfectly legitimate place to hold one.
And do not get me started on the implication that Christians are all dumb. I will lose my fucking head if I start ranting about that one.
